III ENCUENTRO DE LA RED INTERNACIONAL DE
SOCIOLOGÍA DE LAS SENSIBILIDADES (REDISS)

En los últimos
30 años, académicos de Europa y América latina han venido cuestionando la
producción, gestión y re-producción de sensibilidades sociales, teniendo en
cuenta las conexiones entre “emociones, cuerpo y sociedad”. Estas
investigaciones se vienen desarrollando en diferentes campos, tales como la
educación, la salud, la producción de conocimiento, los medios masivos de
comunicación, entretenimiento, sexualidad, políticas públicas y el mercado,
sólo por nombras las audiencias con mayor visibilidad. En este contexto, el
Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Sociológicos (CIES) y RELACES (Revista
Latinoamericana de Estudios sobre Cuerpo, Emociones y Sociedad) decidió
organizar a partir de 2016 serie de encuentros en Paris con investigadores
interesados en los estudios de las sensibilidades.
En este
contexto, el Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Sociológicos (CIES) y RELACES
(Revista Latinoamericana de Estudios sobre Cuerpo, Emociones y Sociedad)
decidió organizar a partir de 2016 serie de encuentros en Paris con
investigadores interesados en los estudios de las sensibilidades.
Desde entonces,
se han concretado dos reuniones: la primera de ellas, “Sensibilidades en el
comienzo del siglo 21” tuvo lugar en URMIS – Paris Diderot en 2016, y fue
co-organizadas por Martín Aranguren (CNRS-URMIS). La segunda reunión,
“Proximidades y distancias en las sociedades contemporáneas. Trabajo,
discriminación, políticas públicas y emociones”, fue co-organizada por Cecile
Vermont (University of Patients – UPCM // CEPED – Paris Descartes) en el
“Institute of the Americas”, en 2017. Es precisamente durante este encuentro
que surge la propuesta de crear la Red Internacional de Sociología de las
Sensibilidades (RedISS).
Dando
continuidad a los debates reseñados se organizó a partir de la creación de la
Red, el III Encuentro CIES-RELACES-París y I Encuentro RedISS “Ciencias
Sociales, Sensibilidades y Sociedades”, en la ciudad de Toronto, Canadá, los
días 13 y 14 de Julio de 2018. Participaron 26 panelistas de Latinoamérica,
Canadá, China y Europa. Posteriormente, el 28 de noviembre de 2018, se organizó
el Seminario “Confianza y Políticas de las sensibilidades”, en Monterrey,
México, organizado por la RedIss y el Instituto de Investigaciones sociales de
la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (IINSO-UNAL).
Para dar
continuidad a las actividades de la RedISS estamos diseñando un encuentro de un
día en la Universidad de Alicante con coordinación del Juan A. Roche Cárcel
Profesor Titular de Sociología de la Cultura y de las Artes
Los objetivos del
Encuentro son:
- Presentar los resultados de las investigaciones sobre sensibilidades realizadas por los participantes,
- Preparar el IV Encuentro a realizarse en octubre de 2019 en Paris

For the last 30 years, many researchers in Europe and
Latin America have been questioning the production, management and re-production
of social sensibilities, taking into account the link between "emotions,
body and society". These researchs are being developed in different
fields, such as education, health, knowledge production, the mass media,
entertainment, sexuality, public policies and the market, to name only the most
“visible” audiences.
In this context, the Center for Research and
Sociological Studies (CIES) and RELACES (Latin American Journal of Studies on
Body, Emotions and Society) have decided to organize a meeting in Paris with
researchers interested in sensibilities studies, to discuss and debate.
Since then, two meetings have been held: the first
one, "Sensibilities at the beginning of the 21st century", took place
at URMIS - Paris Diderot in 2016, and was co-organized by Martín Aranguren
(CNRS-URMIS). The second meeting, "Proximities and distances in
contemporary societies. Work, discrimination, public policies and emotions
", was co-organized by Cecile Vermont (University of Patients - UPCM //
CEPED - Paris Descartes) in the" Institute of the Americas ", in
2017. At the end of this second meeting, it was decided to create an
International Network of Sociology of Sensibilities (RedISS).
Continuing the discussions outlined, the Meeting
"Social Sciences, Sensibilities and Societies" was organized in the
city of Toronto, Canada, on July 13 and 14, 2018, as the III Meeting
CIES-RELACES-Paris and the I Meeting RedISS. Twenty-six panelists from Latin
America, Canada, China and Europe participated. On November 28, the second
meeting of RedIss: “Trust and Politics of sensibilities” was organized in
Monterrey, México. It was co-organized between RedIss and the Institute of
social research of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (IINSO-UNAL).
To give continuity to the activities of the RedISS we
are designing a one-day meeting at the University of Alicante coordinated by
Juan A. Roche Cárcel Professor of Sociology of Culture and the Arts.
The objectives of the Meeting are:
· Present the results of the research on sensibilities
carried out by the participants,
· Prepare the IV Meeting to be held in October 2019 in
Paris
Participants will be researchers from various Spanish
universities (Alicante, Valencia, Tarragona ...) and from abroad (Argentina,
China, Italy ...).
